Amana Waterpark: A Must-Visit Pool Resort this Summer

Looking for a summer destination closer to Metro Manila? Here’s a beautiful waterpark that will surely spice up your summer escape experience.

Amana Waterpark is touted to be one of the most exciting waterparks in Southeast Asia. It offers some of the most magnificent amenities of a swimming pool resort. It has seven themed pools in varied shapes and designs, two of which are indoor, life-sized figures of TV and movie-inspired characters such as the pack of Avengers, Justice League, Dragon balls, Disney, and Marvel figures which offer visitors with something to amuse for photo snapping.

This leisure resort also boasts a 3,500 square meter wave pool that produces a tsunami-like wave, so far the biggest in the Philippines. The thrill of splashing into these artificially-produced waves will really make you squeal in excitement, bringing back the child in you!

Located in Pandi, Bulacan, Amana Waterpark won’t stress you out in traveling due to its proximity in Metro Manila, making it an ideal destination to visit this summer to feel cool!

Some of the basic amenities you are looking for in a pool resort are provided by Amana Waterrpark. It has a Japanese-inspired convention hall, a restaurant, a souvenir shop, themed pavilions, and cottages which spread across different stations of themed pools, refreshment stations, and spacious pathways. There’s a sprawling ground devoted only to the Jurassic water world theme complete with Dinosaur figures with roaring sounds, a swimming pool, and pavilions. Cottages are uniquely designed also based on themes inspired by popular Philippine summer destinations like Palawan, Tagaytay, Baguio, Baler, Boracay, Calatagan, and Laoag. For people who will come in a small group and don’t want to rent any of the themed cottages, there are modern umbrellas to choose from. Each unit is good for two to four persons.

The fun of moving around at its different themed pools and the excitement of posing for photo souvenirs with the movie-inspired figures will be a memorable one and pump up thrill to your summer getaway. Showers are provided for each pool area and the designs are quite interesting too because it follows a specific theme, mostly marine life elements like octopus and dolphins.

When I visited Amana Waterpark with my travel buddy and best friend, Rowena Tagaan, I was so instantly attracted to its cool swimming pool themes and other fascinating amenities. So many things to do in a day! We leaped in so much excitement, hopping from one swimming pool to another. And the most wonderful moment was at the Castle indoor pool. Because of the comfort it provides, we were able to relax while avoiding the blistering heat of the summer sun. It was indeed a swimming pool experience with a twist!

For the summer season, Amana waterpark has a special treat to visitors on weekends. Every 1:30 to 3:00 in the afternoon, there’s a special presentation from hip hop dancers and professional acrobats that’s both funny and jaw-dropping. The death defying stunts, acrobatic routines, and heart-pounding exhibitions and hip hop dance presentations add zest to this magical summer experience at Amana. This show will run until May 24, 2015. This is free and no added cost to the entrance fee.

Other amenities inside the resort include food and refreshment stations, and for other recreation and adventure, zip line and horseback riding are also offered. The only downside of this resort is the shower/comfort room area. Units are limited and visitors will have to squeeze in the long queue towards the afternoon to wash and change clothes. But if you are quite adventurous, you can get rid of this problem by just taking shower in the pool area.
