As director, writer, and actor of the film, though, it turns out it wasn’t all sunshine and daisies for Alessandra making this film. In an interview with TV5’s MJ Marfori, she shared that after the movie, she actually had to go to the hospital several times. “May 9 days kami sa La Union. Pag-uwi namin, tatlong beses akong na-ospital: dalawang na-confine tapos isang emergency room. Pero walang makita, stress lang daw. I guess dahil sa 9 days na ‘yun na siyempre ngayon mo lang nae-experience for the first time lahat eh.” [Rough translation: “We spent 9 days in La Union. When we got home, I went to the hospital three times: I was confined twice and had to go to the emergency room the other time. They didn’t see anything wrong with me, though. They said it might just be stress. I guess because of the 9 days where I had experienced all of that for the first time.”]

She adds, “Sa stress ko, hindi ako umuupo sa buong 9 days. Hindi ako makakain, ayun, na-ospital si lola.” [Rough translation: “Because I was so stressed, I didn’t sit down for the whole 9 days. I couldn’t eat, so there, I ended up in the hospital.”]

It turned out great, though. The movie became a hit not just in the Philippines, but also in Singapore, Canada, UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
