After starring in the 2019 film Lucid, Alessandra de Rossi and JM de Guzman are teaming up again for an upcoming romance film What If?.
They will portray newlyweds stuck on an island during their honeymoon. According to Netflix, here’s the film’s synopsis, “When a pair of newlywed musicians get trapped in a storm on their island honeymoon, they must face difficult truths that could tear their marriage apart.”

The film is directed by Emmanuel Quindo Palo and co-produced by Viva Films and A World Of Our Own, along with Vic del Rosario, Jr. as the executive producer. It also stars Angie Castrence, Soliman Cruz, and Jett Pangan.
In August 2022, Alessandra teased the project on Instagram, posting photos of their script and tagging JM.

Alessandra made waves for her roles in Kita Kita, Through Night and Day, and My Amanda. Meanwhile, JM is known for his previous films That Thing Called Tadhana, Ang Babae sa Septic Tank, and Kung Paano Siya Nawala. He’s set to star in an upcoming ABS-CBN drama Linlang with Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.
