Angello Perez, also known as Gello, visited his late brother AJ on his graduation.
Gello posted a photo of himself wearing his toga, and another holding two medals.
He captioned the photos with “Always dedicating my successes to you.”
The younger Perez recently graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University.
AJ was an actor who appeared in movies and TV shows like Maalaala Mo Kaya, Lobo, Iisa Pa Lamang, Maynila, Wansapanataym, Sabel, Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo and its sequel Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo, Bahay Kubo: A Pinoy Mano Po!, Ang Tanging Pamilya: A Marry Go Round, and many more. His last TV appearance was in the “Tsinelas” episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya, while his final movie appearance was in Mamarazzi.
He passed away in 2011 in a car accident while he was on his way home from a show in Dagupan. AJ was 18 years old.
His parents donated his corneas to the Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines. Daniel Delos Santos, a contestant on Eat Bulaga’s “Bawal Judgmental” segment, revealed that he was one of the recipients and that the donation helped him see again. The other cornea was donated to a man named Lawrence Villanueva.
