Adidas has officially released the Hyperboost Edge, a “super-trainer” designed to bring elite racing technology to everyday road running.

The shoe breaks away from the current industry trend of using stiff carbon plates. Instead, it relies on a new, high-stack foam to provide a springy, cushioned ride without the rigidity of a race shoe.

Weighing only 255g, the shoe centers on a 45mm stack of Hyperboost Pro foam that provides maximum cushioning and high energy return without the need for rigid carbon plates. This focus on a natural, propulsive gait is supported by a soft PRIMEWEAVE upper for a secure fit and a LIGHTTRAXION outsole for reliable grip. In a study conducted with the University of Cologne, the Edge outperformed runners’ current footwear, with 77% of participants noting a softer feel and 73% preferring its energy return.

Visually, the shoe introduces a bold, industrial aesthetic, moving the iconic three stripes to the midsole for the first time to highlight the technology underfoot.

Priced at PHP 11,000.00, the Hyperboost Edge is available in a vibrant red colorway. It is now available at adidas.com.ph, the adidas app, and major local retailers including the Brand Center Glorietta, Home of Sport locations in Two Parkade and Trinoma, and specialty shops like atmos, Commonwealth, and RUNNR.
