When Urban Traveller & Co. began conversations with Packolab in Kyiv, Ukraine, it wasn’t simply about securing a limited release. It was about aligning with a brand that represents craftsmanship, independence, and thoughtful design. The values that resonate deeply within the global carry community.
For Hans Fernandez, Chief Meeple of Urban Traveller & Co., Packolab had long been considered a “grail” brand.
“Packolab has always been one of those grail brands for me. To work directly with Borys and bring this to our community wasn’t just exciting — it felt like a rare opportunity. Seeing the reaction at UTX, and now watching these pieces ship out, makes it even more meaningful.”
The collaboration required months of coordination: reviewing silhouettes over video calls, refining material selections, and aligning production timelines across continents.
But this wasn’t happening under ordinary conditions.Packolab operates out of Kyiv, where infrastructure disruptions and uncertainty remain part of daily life. Production continues, but not without resilience. For Borys and his team, the collaboration carried a different kind of significance.

When the UTC x Packolab collection was revealed at Urban Traveller’s 10th Anniversary event last year, the response was immediate. The community recognized the craftsmanship. They understood the rarity. They showed up. And when pre-orders opened, the demand was overwhelming, here and abroad.
As the first pieces ship from Kyiv to the Philippines, the collaboration stands as something more than a product release. It represents what can happen when independent brands choose to work together with intention, and when communities rally behind meaningful craft. UTC x Packolab is proof that good design travels, and that trust, once built, carries weight.
The UTC x Packolab Limited Edition Collection features three silhouettes—the City Carrier, Samurai Sling, and Samurai Slim—each crafted in Kyiv using Ultra 400TX Black with a high-visibility Ultragrid Tangerine interior. Only 50 pieces per style were produced for this collaboration, making it one of the most limited releases UTC has carried to date. Following the pre-order phase, a few remaining pieces will be made available beginning March 2 at UTC online and UTC Greenbelt 5 and One Bonifacio High Street stores, at regular price. Once these final units are sold, this configuration will not be reproduced.
