We checked out the Gastrobar and feasted on some of the best-sellers. First on the menu was the chicken skin. I’ve had so much chicken skin in my life and this is actually in my top five. It is crispy and seasoned perfectly. It is also served with crispy noodles!

I’m not crazy about vegetables especially ensalada because I don’t really eat raw onions and tomatoes. Luckily, this deconstructed ensalada gives you the freedom to choose what goes into your plate. The Grilled Eggplant and Steamed Water Spinach is perfect with the bagoong and green mango strips.

What is a Filipino restaurant without Adobo? This Pork Belly adobo is a huge chunk of pork cooked thoroughly until it’s tender enough to crumble when you poke through it. It is heaping with crispy garlic too!

If you like something a bit spicy, this Slow Cooked Beef or more commonly known as Kaldereta is perfect for you. It is the perfect marriage of sweet coconut cream and chili. The beef is really tender and I am quite sure that you’ll order for some extra rice!

Chicken Binakol or Chicken in broth with coconut water, green papaya and chili leaves is Tambayan’s take on Tinola. It is very light and is served in a buko!

If you fancy some fish, Tambayan offers this Butterfly Tilapia. It is served with pickled water spinach stalks and onion infused vinegar.

I’m a sucker for desserts and this buchi is so tasty! It is made of rice flour dough filled with white chocolate and crusted with black sesame seeds. This dessert is quite heavy, so you may have to double up the room for dessert.

If you still have room for dessert, you should get this hefty Halo-Halo. One serving is actually good for 3 people and I have jokingly said that it is in a vase because it’s huge!

What sets this Halo-Halo apart from others is that the beans and other ingredients are not soaking in syrup. It is not too sweet and it also has fruits that is very refreshing and tasty. The ice cream, leche flan and ube on top are so divine that I munched on those immediately.
