If you were one of the many people who enjoyed A Quiet Place, we have great news for you: a sequel is already being developed!
The news was confirmed by Paramount Pictures Chairman Jim Gianopulo, who announced at CinemaCon that they are already working on a second film.
A Quiet Place tells the story of a family who lives in a farm and attempts to make as little noise as possible, as a group of monsters who hunt by sound has infested the area. It is noted for its minimal use of dialogue.
It stars John Krasinski (who also directed the film) and his real-life wife, Emily Blunt.
The film has become a commercial and critical success, earning $213.3 million worldwide (roughly P11 billion) and with Rotten Tomatoes saying that it “artfully plays on elemental fears with a ruthlessly intelligent creature feature that’s as original as it is scary.”
There’s no word what it will be about but those who’ve seen the movie know that the first film ended with a cliffhanger.
There’s no release date to the sequel yet.
