A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD

The car chase is something to talk about too. Don’t ask me how many cars, trucks and vans were used to film the scene. But this film proved that car chases can happen, even in a crowded and heavy-trafficked place like Moscow. It might help to get a good seat at the theater to catch a good view of the whole chase; as I am not sure if it was my distance from the screen that got me a bit dizzy, or it was really the scene’s intention.

This movie is not just about the guns and the goons, but humor is injected at the most unexpected scenes.  Who would have thought Bruce Willis can deliver the wittiest punchlines? While Jai Courtney‘s character and candor make him more attractive.

I love how the characters remained true to their identities.  The movie gives a fair spotlight to Bruce Willis as the father, and Jai Courtney as the son.  When John talks to Jack, and Jack opposes John, it was like watching yourself and your parents on the big screen, especially during disagreements.

The movie showed the love of a father to a son, and son’s love for his father – in a non-melodramatic way – it is still manly.

A Good Day to Die Hard would make you worry about not just one McClane, but two. What happens to the younger McClane, while the other one is shooting? Does the older McClane survive after the explosion?

You would feel the film as if he is your father, and as if he is your son. I got that feeling in the movie – and I thought, if I were in their shoes, who cares, it is A Good Day to Die Hard.
