The road to Osaka begins in Manila as Dance Supremacy International Philippine Qualifier takes center stage on September 12, 2026, at the UP Theater.
Launched in 2017, Dance Supremacy (DS) is the flagship dance competition brand of ACTS Events Co., featuring distinct competition categories that celebrate a wide range of dancers, styles, and creative disciplines throughout the year. DS has grown into an international platform for open crew street dancers who push the boundaries of performance through bold concepts, powerful themes, and innovative choreography.
This year’s Philippine Qualifier brings together 65 competing groups from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with 8 Junior Varsity Crews, 26 Small Crews, and 31 Big Crews battling for cash prizes and a coveted opportunity to represent the Philippines at the Dance Supremacy World Finals in Osaka, Japan, in January 2027.
The Top 2 teams in each division will earn automatic qualification to the World Finals, where an additional total prize pool of USD 4,000 awaits the world’s best crews.
But this year, Dance Supremacy is turning up the volume with even more happening beyond the crew competition.
For the first time, the event will also feature DS Battle Squad Wars Vol. 3, Dance Supremacy’s unique freestyle battle format where individual battlers compete through every round while gradually building their own team or “squad.” By the final round, individual battles transform into an all-out squad showdown.
Dance will also meet cinema at the DS Film Fest, a competition dedicated to the dynamic intersection of movement and filmmaking. The festival invites dancers and filmmakers to collaborate in creating original choreography and compelling narratives designed specifically for the screen, celebrating the expressive world of dance music videos. This year, all official entries will be screened during the event, with the winning film announced at the end of the night.
