Recently discharged after six weeks in the hospital, Kris personally requested balloons instead of flowers to avoid allergies. She revealed that although she can now walk unaided, she won’t be able to go outdoors until her stitches are removed in four weeks. Sun exposure is also inadvisable, and she stressed that any accidental fall could be “seriously life-threatening.”

The Queen of All Media confirmed that she will star in and co-produce an on-camera podcast, saying that once her stitches are removed, she could resume building her “immunity cells” and return to interviewing. Expressing gratitude for reaching 55, she shared, “I am now praying to reach 60 so I’ll have both a PWD (Person With Disability) and senior citizen’s card,” noting that many establishments still do not accept PWD cards as valid government IDs despite being official.
Previously, Kris posted a carousel of photos from her recovery, including her son Bimby attending a church procession with fashion designer Michael Leyva, as well as glimpses from her hospital stay and medical procedure. She also referenced lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “Eldest Daughter,” reflecting resilience during a difficult period.
In her message, the media icon recounted a life-threatening complication during her procedure when her lungs temporarily stopped functioning, as well as an allergic reaction to a new medication on January 23, 2026. She thanked her doctors, nurses, and medical team for staying by her side throughout the ordeal.

Kris also reflected on her mother, former President Corazon Aquino, sharing that her mother valued privacy during her own medical struggles. While she is choosing to share some photos and videos, she said she is not ready to disclose detailed medical information at this time and hopes to share her journal entries once she has fully recovered.
She went on to thank friends and supporters who visited her during her recovery and shared that her faith continues to give her strength. In one part of her post, she wrote:
“Thank you for your prayers and concern. Please change #fighting to #brave? … You don’t need to know how much I suffer, you need to see that I’ll continue praying and believing that I will reach remission.”
The post quickly drew positive reactions from fans, many of whom expressed excitement at the possibility of seeing her back in her element.
