On October 29, the popular beauty salon announced his passing on its official Facebook page.
“The whole family of David’s Salon mourns the passing of our founder. His love and generosity will forever be remembered,” the statement read.
The post also noted that his wake will be held from October 30 to November 2, while the final mass will take place on November 3 at 1 p.m. at The Chapels Heritage Park in Taguig.
David was born in Sunderland, in Tyne and Wear, England. He had been exposed to hairdressing at a very early age and distinguished himself in the field by passing the City and Guilds of London Institute Examination with distinction.
With a goal to bring Fine European hairdressing to the Philippines, David established David’s Salon in 1989, which now has over 200 branches in the country.
May he rest in peace.
