Starting your skincare routine as a skincare newbie can be a bit intimidating because of so many kinds of products and brands out in the market. In my experience, the confusion on so many skincare products just makes me want to give up on taking care of my skin.
Fortunately, Filipina actress Empress Schuck-Guingon, along with her business partners Rhodalyn Payaoan and sister Queen Schuck, just launched a local skincare brand made for skincare newbies like me.
Numi (or “new me”) is a new skincare brand that takes pride in offering effective environment-friendly skincare to more Filipinos.

I instantly loved how I can easily get the basics of a skincare routine all at once from Numi. It’s so helpful and convenient for anyone who has no prior knowledge about skincare products.
Numi’s set even has instructions on which product to use first, and how to use them in order.

To make sure that we get to take care of the environment just as we take care of our skin, Numi released a line of vegan, cruelty-free skincare products free from sulfates and parabens. These are packaged in IG-worthy recyclable glass bottles and biodegradable plastic bottles.
This homegrown brand’s products include: the Nourish & Restore Cleanser made with mandarin peel orange and aloe vera extract; the Clarify & Hydrate Toner Mist made with witch hazel and rose water; the Glow & Renew Serum made with tangerine peel extract; and the Protect & Repair Sunscreen, with chestnut fruit extract and chamomile.
I really loved how Numi simplified skincare for me when it was personally so intimidating before. Their products are also formulated to be light on the skin yet super effective! I just know that my skin is finally thanking me for making an extra effort in keeping it clean and healthy.
