“We couldn’t keep you waiting any longer…’How I Met Your Father’ is coming January 18, only on @Hulu #HIMYF,” the show’s official Twitter account wrote.

The news follows the recent announcement that “Sex and the City” alum Kim Cattrall will play the future version of Duff’s character Sophie who will serve as the narrator of the show.

To those who don’t know what this sequel will be about, “HIMYF” follows Sophie who recounts how she had met the future father of her son, which includes a throwback to her days hanging out with her group of friends in the year 2021 — a time when they were all just trying to figure their lives out.
