Overpopulation of stray cats and dogs in Manila is an issue that needs to be solved. Fortunately, Mayor Isko Moreno proposed a solution to control the overpopulation of stray animals in the city. He mentioned his plans on offering a program to neuter stray cats and dogs for free.

Why is it important to spay and neuter stray cats and dogs?
Aside from controlling the population of homeless animals on the streets, it eliminates the animal’s tendency to bite and it also lessens the chances of breast cancer and dangerous uterine infections in females and prostate problems and testicular cancer in males.
We have no details yet about the program but let’s hope that this effort of Mayor Isko will help make the streets of Manila a better place for stray cats and dogs.
