Sophie Turner asked her on-screen sister, Maisie Williams, to be her Maid of Honor

The final season premiere for Game of Thrones took place last April 3. While the cast members remained tight-lipped about any season spoilers on the red carpet, they were relatively more forthcoming with details about their personal lives. Sophie Turner, the actress who plays Sansa Stark, was especially talkative about her imminent wedding as well as her relationship with singer, Joe Jonas.

Turner shared with Entertainment Tonight exclusive information that Maisie Williams, who plays her sister Arya Stark, is set to be the Maid of Honor at her wedding. The information was so exclusive, in fact, that even Williams wasn’t aware of it! Turner had heard Williams saying she would have to choose a dress for the wedding so she decided to clarify by sharing:

I don’t know why she’s thinking about [what she’s wearing to my wedding]. I’m giving her the bridesmaid dress! [laughs] She’s my maid of honor! One of two.

The two have known each other for about 10 years now, meeting on the set of Game of Thrones all those seasons ago. They have, for all intents and purposes, grown up together and even regard one another as sisters. So for a wedding that Turner has announced will be small and intimate, it’s not surprising for her to bring aboard cast members she now considers family.

Turner also spent some time gushing over her fiance, sharing:

It means so much to have him here, it’s just like, the best support, the best person to calm me down and keep me calm, and if I end up crying, I have a shoulder to cry on. So, it’s good. I’m so happy that he’s here.

Here’s to hoping that this wedding doesn’t follow the common tragic theme of all Thrones weddings so far!
