Last August, Olympic silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz won the first gold medal for the Philippines in the 2018 Asian Games. She bested 11 competitors in the women’s 53-kilogram event. She did this by lifting 92 kilograms in the snatch and 115 kilograms in the clean and jerk for a total of 207 kilograms.
In lieu of this, Hidilyn shared on Twitter how she felt before the Asian Games.
Her sentiments probably speak the sentiments of almost every athlete in the country.
