Hotel Tropika: Rated as #1 Hotel In Davao According to Trip Advisor

WhenInManila.com loves Davao! What’s not to love about a clean, non-smoking, friendly and traffic free city?  To make it even better they are home to the green and gorgeous Hotel Tropika.

If you are looking for a well located hotel in Davao that is clean, green, relaxing and with friendly staff then Hotel Tropika is the place to stay. You do not achieve Number 1 status for hotels in Davao on Trip Advisor without being good and having excellent facilities.

Hotel Tropika has 30 Deluxe rooms that are well appointed and spacious. Hotel Tropika currently has promo until the end of October. From their regular rate of P3,400 it is now only for P2,700 (single or double occupancy) with breakfast. They also have a weekend rate of P2,200 single or double occupancy with breakfast from Friday-Sunday. 

Hotel Tropika‘s in-house restaurant is Cafe Aseya where you can enjoy a great meal like Salt & Pepper Spareribs and Frozen Dalandan Margarita.  The cuisines to be enjoyed there include Filipino, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai.

 

 Salt & Pepper Spareribs (P210) represents tremendous value for a tender and delicious dish.

 

My Frozen Dalandan Margarita was so refreshing and delicious that I wanted another one.   I recommend drinking yours after having your swim in their 25 meter lap pool!!!

 

My triathlete friends will love staying in Hotel Tropika for they can swim laps in their 25 meter lap pool set in a green garden oasis.  Very cool!

 

 

Did I mention that their breakfast rocks?  They have excellent coffee and a really good all-day breakfast selection to start your day off on the right foot.  The chef gladly substituted my rice for extra cucumber salad so I could still maintain my healthy, Primed Lifestyle.

The only thing more pleasing than my breakfast was the view. On my first morning, I enjoyed the great view and company of the charming Katrina Lozano, who is the Hotel Tropika Sales and Marketing Officer.  

 

On the second morning I enjoyed the same breakfast (because I really liked it a lot, but will try their Bangus next visit) with this beautiful view as I dined al fresco.

 

 

It is impossible to not be calm and relaxed in the tropical setting of Hotel Tropika. I recommend enjoying your meals out on their patio.  Hotel Tropika also specializes in events management with 7 separate function rooms.  It is a wonderful venue for weddings, company outings, birthdays, seminars and the like.  The company for whom I am their Wellness Coach will have a retreat here where we will swim, play in the open garden and also have our healthy cooking lessons in their kitchen.
