Without a doubt, there are a ton of delicious places to eat in when in BF Homes, Paranaque. However, once someone’s sweet tooth starts screaming, the choices become a bit more limited. While it is always possible to grab a quick soft-serve ice cream at a convenience store, a piece of cake or a cupcake at go-to places in the area or even a frappuccino at a famous coffee shop, you may want to try things that are bit more unique for a change. Here are 9 new suggestions from a girl who lives in BF and has a sweet tooth like no other.

9. Carpe Diem
Mostly known for their coffee, good Wi-Fi, friendly staff and chill ambiance, Carpe Diem is a safe haven for anyone who needs an electricity socket and good Internet to get work done. Sometimes, I honestly spend hours upon hours at this place, ordering coffee, lunch, more coffee, dinner, and then more coffee. I also order this a lot:
You can’t go wrong with this Bananutella Toast. Simple but satisfying, it is toast, filled with bananas, cream and chocolate syrup topped with whipped cream – perfect for a quick fix of sweetness when you are already happily full from your previous meal. Did I mention it only costs Php40?

8. Magnum Opus
Magnum Opus is on our list of 20 REALLY good coffee shops in the Philippines for a reason: they make REALLY good coffee. (Duh.) That aside, though, they also have the perfect dessert that will double as your pick-me-up as needed during the day: the Wafflegato.
At Php160, the Wafflegato will satiate your sweet tooth with the most delicious vanilla ice cream on top of the most delicious affogato coffee you’ve tasted. Mix them together and you’ve got perfection for dessert. The waffle is actually just the cherry on top, really.

7. Outre
If it’s ice cream that you want, but don’t want to settle for soft-serve quickies, Outre is the place to be in BF. Outre is one of the newer dessert places in BF and we are super happy that they opened! No more regular ice cream, no. Now, we’ve got liquid nitrogen gelatos!
Even at Php150 per order, Outre is still well worth the visit for dessert. Why? Because if your sweet tooth isn’t that crazy, you can bring a date and share your gelato. Hihi. You won’t get sick of visiting the place, either, because you don’t have to taste the same ice cream flavours over and over again. Outre actually introduces a new gelato flavour on their roster every 2 weeks, replacing one with a new one. My top picks so far have been Tiramisu and Cookie Monster, but go check them out and see what tickles your tastebuds.

6. The Girl and the Bull
After having been closed for a few months to the sadness of my sweet tooth, The Girl and the Bull is back and better than ever! And the best part? Their Faux Twix is still alive and kicking – and you definitely need to try it!
Do not be fooled by the size of this dessert. It is so incredibly sweet, you can actually share this with one or two of our friends. But I promise you: it.is.so.good… The salt and the caramel and the Twix will make you close your eyes and go “mmm” for at least three seconds. Just don’t forget to make a reservation before heading over there. And make sure you have the phone number of a friend who knows where the exact location of the place is. Or try and find it yourself. We did – and it made our first visit all the more worth it! Adventure time!

5. Cafe Alezon
Cookie shots! Cookie shots! Who doesn’t love cookie shots?
Cafe Alezon offers cookie shots that you can either fill with milk or Kahlua! The heavens rejoice! Yes, you can have these with alcohol instead of ordering a bunch from someone and filling them with alcohol at home (like I used to do oh-so-very-often). The only problem here is trying to resist the urge not to eat the cookie shot before you run out of milk/Kahlua.

4. Cerealicious
Yes, I am adding this onto the list? Why? Coz I love having cereal for dessert and they put ice cream on theirs!
Aside from satisfying your cravings for something sweet, Cerealicious also has incredibly witty names that never fail to crack me up (coz I’m mababaw like that). From the Oreo and Juliet pictured above to NUTting Hill to Pirates of the Cadbury-an, you are sure to find the perfect combination of cereal, chocolate and ice cream at this place – guaranteed!

3. Wicked Dogs
This relatively new hot dog haven serves a different kind of dessert, too: mochi! Mochiko mochi, to be exact. We’ve reviewed them before right here: Mochiko Mochi: The Kookiest Dessert in Manila
Mochiko is basically a scoop of ice cream tucked inside a mochi ball and they are very good – take it from me. I used to go all the way to Alabang Town Center when my mochi cravings hit, but now, I can just walk down the road and have one anytime I please. Well, anytime between 11am and 1am anyway. :p

2. Bucky’s Counter
Another new edition to the world that is BF Homes, Bucky’s Counter offers brownies with milk, brownies with ice cream and even brownies with that white stuff that you find in Oreo. Yes, you can get that stuff at Bucky’s without breaking an Oreo open for it!!!
That is not ice cream nor is it cream. It’s that white stuff you find in Oreos! Cannot. Get. Over. Sorry. Take note that everything at Bucky’s is extremely sweet, though, so you might want to share their desserts with someone. And ask for a lot of water.
1. Flaming Wings
This is number one on my list for a reason: I love Oreos (as should be pretty evident over how much I talked about it when I talked about Bucky’s Counter). And so I present: WICKED OREOS!!!
People are going to tell you to go to Flaming Wings for their, well, wings (which are, of course, incredibly delicious, too), but I’m telling you to go there for their Wicked Oreos. A little tip? They’re super nice in their BF branch, so you can ask for a bigger scoop of ice cream when you order this. 😉
