Walking along either San Agustin Street or Valero Street, you would notice Citadines Salcedo which is a Apart hotel. Don’t be fooled by the humble exteriors, it’s a brunch foodie haven you don’t want to miss.
Upon entrance, you wouldn’t forget that this is a part of a hotel. Beautiful interiors, almost intimidating but don’t fret, it’s not a restaurant exclusively for the hotel’s guests. People come here from all over, Why you may ask? For quality happy-tummy-adventures.
Since Makati in general is a mecca of diverse culture, having foreigners and filipinos reside and work in the area it’s no wonder Flying Pan does not have a definite cuisine in mind. Their menu is a combination of Filipino, American and Italian cuisine but they also have a variety of dishes inspired of French and other cuisines. We recommend you try:
Smoked Salmon Benedict on Round Pandesal Muffin, potatoes itself were a stay on its own. If you’re not into Salmon, skip it. You can have another variant without it.
Angus Beef Tapa, breakfast for lunch, breakfast for dinner? That’s how we do it. Especially with this Angus Beef Tapa. We ordered it 3 days in a row, that’s how much we liked it. Careful though, it’s addictive. Sprinkle on some spicy vinegar and you are good to go. Served with a bowl of rice on the side, 2 eggs and a sidedish.
They also have Happy Hour! From 3pm to 8pm buy 1 take 1 on cocktails, local beers and a glass of house wine. The beer was already cheap that the guy beside our table was refusing another beer since he only ordered one, when the waiter said it was buy 1 take 1 he immediately joked “Are you giving free beers today?”
If I worked around the area, I would go to lunch here everyday for the Angus Beef. Have I mentioned the amazing Angus Beef? You’re very welcome.
