7 Reasons The Buffet in QC is Better Than Your Favorite Buffet

The Buffet in QC is Better Than Your Favorite Buffet

When In Manila, eating at a buffet can be very expensive. Usual rates may range from 1,500 to 2,000 pesos. However, I learned that you don’t need to pay so much just to satisfy your taste buds and tummy. Through The Buffet in QC, I was surprised to find out that you can actually have a fine dining buffet experience without worrying about the costs.

The Buffet in QC is a Korean-owned restaurant that opened its doors on March 9, 2013. Although they are still considered to be newbies, many food critics and enthusiasts are raving about the sumptuous but affordable dishes that they provide. In fact, popular local celebrities such as Dingdong Dantes and Vice Ganda visit and eat at this restaurant.

Last November 2, 2013, me and my friends went to The Buffet in QC to try their dishes for ourselves. The food tasted awesome and the service crew was very attentive and friendly. Here is what we found very pleasing with The Buffet:

1. The aesthetic fine dining appeal
Located along Commonwealth Avenue, it’s really hard not to miss The Buffet. With its large windows, long draperies and spectacular chandeliers, you can easily spot the restaurant even when passing by. In fact, you wouldn’t consider The Buffet as a buffet because of the glamorous interior design. You would think of it as a five-star restaurant in Makati or Taguig instead.

Believe it or not, the classy design was achieved without any help from an interior designer. In fact, the design of the restaurant was conceived by no other than the owner, according to Corporate Counsel Atty. Teresita Natividad.

2. Large venue options for any celebration
The Buffet is very committed to help their customers find the perfect venue for special occasions like weddings, debuts and birthdays. They have three venue options: the Diamond, the Platinum and the Grand Ballroom, all of which can be tailored fit according to your requirements. Whether you want a customized menu, two-way buffet, spot cooking or a change in the interiors, the team of The Buffet will ensure that your event is memorable and truly spectacular. Unlike other halls, the function rooms have a classy feel because of the elegant chandeliers.

3. Upcoming catering services
The Buffet will provide catering services for new and loyal customers soon. According to Atty. Natividad, their catering services will hopefully be available by the end of the year.

4. Affordable buffet rates in town
The Buffet is one of the most affordable buffets in the metro. In fact, you don’t need more than a thousand pesos to dine here. During weekdays, their rates are PHP 599 for lunch and PHP 799 for dinner. If your friends or family are visiting during the weekend, lunch and dinner will cost you PHP 799 per person.

5. Personalized Service from dedicated employees
Are you sick and tired of waiters who are lazy and unhelpful? At the Buffet, they take your dining experience to the next level. All of their employees are well-trained and very accommodating. They can also serve you your preferred dishes at your table, so you don’t need to go back and forth to the buffet area.

6. Amazing cuisine collection
At the Buffet, you will never run out of food to try. They have more than 100 types of dishes that you can try for yourself. From Western to Japanese to classic Filipino cuisines, they have the best cuisine selections for your discriminating taste buds. According to sous chef Romeo Santos, they are looking to add more cuisines like Spanish food into the menu, as well. They expect a new menu by the end of November.

7. Fresh ingredients
The Buffet guarantees that they only use the fresh ingredients in their Sous chef Santos exclaimed that they go to Malabon or Baguio every other day to select the freshest seafood, such as tuna and oysters, in the market. He also ensures that there is no-reheating because it affects the taste of the food and, of course, because it is a health hazard. Any leftovers are thrown and disposed of properly. To keep the food flowing, they prefer bulk marinating instead of bulk cooking. This way the dishes are always fresh.
