2. Tarsier Preservation
One thing I have always wanted to cross out from my bucket list in life is ‘to see a tarsier’. Tarsiers are very mysterious creatures, though. They are loners who don’t like noise, so they can be pretty hard to spot. Fortunately, when you visit the Tarsier Preservation Center, though, a guide will take you to where the tarsiers are, so all you have to do is marvel at their cuteness and take pictures as needed.
You have to be very quiet so as not to scare them away!
1. Chocolate Hills Adventure Park
This was the highlight of my trip! If you’re an adrenaline junkie, then this is definitely the place for you. I’m actually a bit of a wuss, but I was with a group of adrenaline junkies; so I guess the adrenaline rush got to me, too.
Truth be told, I’m incredibly scared of hanging bridges, but when I saw everyone else try out this obstacle course, I told my heart to calm down, prayed to God a gazillion times and tried my hand at it.
I didn’t finish the entire course, but I survived the first half and that’s good enough for me. :p
I learned that smiling through the fear helps a lot. Haha.
Here are some of the rest of the obstacles that I chickened out of:
The ultimate highlight of CHAP for me, though, was the Bike Zipline. I am proud to say that we WIM-ers were the only ones who braved this one. 150 feet above the ground, you get on a bike on a zipline and pedal your way to the other side and back.
Don’t worry. It’s completely safe. They’ll check your blood pressure beforehand to see if you’re fit enough to take on the challenge, and if you are, then you’re good to go. The zipline is completely secure, so you don’t have to worry about balancing or anything. In fact, I pedaled my way to the other side in less than 2 minutes without paying any mind to the line that was holding me. I enjoyed the beautiful view of the Chocolate Hills and on my way back to the other side, I even biked freehand and did wacky poses for the camera.
I love heights and I love beautiful views, so this was my addiction during the trip. If I could have biked back and forth a hundred times, I would have.
By the way, you can buy all of your photos at CHAP. At only Php100, you can get 1 hard copy and the rest of the photos in soft copy, either on your SD cards or through email.
Don’t worry. Even if you aren’t up for the adventures, you can still enjoy a beautiful view of the Chocolate Hills at Chocolate Hills Adventure Park’s Viewing Deck.
They also have obstacle courses for kids, as well as a Butterfly Farm. 🙂

I spent 4 days and 3 nights in Bohol, but it wasn’t enough. A lot of people have been telling me that Bohol has ‘gone downhill’ due to the recent earthquake and that the Chocolate Hills are no longer as pretty, but I can tell you now that that definitely isn’t true. In fact, there is so much to see and so much to do in Bohol that I’m already planning on going back again soon.
Air Asia is the best way to travel to Bohol. We got there early and got back on time – and the flights are very affordable, too! Add to that the good-looking and friendly staff, the great service and the delicious food, and you’ll come home not regretting your decision. Air Asia is also part of the “Visit Bohol 2015” campaign, which just goes to show that they are trusted by Bohol itself.
