Six young and talented Filipino actors will be joining the cast of the international tour of Disney’s The Lion King, Theater Fans Manila announced.
Joining the full company are six actors from the Philippines: Julien Joshua Dolor, Pablo Palacpac and Juan Gabriel Tiongson will be sharing the role of Young Simba; while those sharing the role of Young Nala will be Sheena Bentoy, Uma Martin and Felicity Napuli.
Auditions in Manila were previously announced in June of this year, specifically for performers between the ages of 9 to 12 to fill the roles of Young Simba and Young Nala.
The company of The Lion King is composed of diverse international performers. The tour will start in Manila at The Theatre at Solaire on March 18, 2018, mounted by Concertus Manila. On June 27, 2018, the tour will transfer to Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
