To tell you the truth, I donโt enjoy water parks. Sure, they’re fun and exciting, but Iโm still too scared to swim, much more go on rides. Call me a buzzkill, but itโs a risk Iโm not willing to take, or at least a risk I wasnโt willing to take – not until I spent a day at Aqua Planet.
Why would I even go there, you might ask? For one, I checked the Internet and it looked like a nice location to take some pictures at. Iโve seen several posts on Instagram and there were a lot of aesthetically-pleasing backgrounds that I knew I needed to see. And, secondly (and probably the main reason), my friends forced me to go since theyโve been waiting for Aqua Planet to reopen ever since its renovation last August.
It didnโt take long going there (which we all appreciated). Aqua Planet is relatively close to Manila, conveniently located in Clark, Pampanga. Travel time only takes two to three hours – a short wait for those eager to take a dip in the cool waters of this amusement park.
It was the grand reopening of Aqua Planet recently and to celebrate the momentous event, they staged a VIP party for the media, some digital influencers, and several foreign diplomats from ASEAN countries. Initially, I thought it would be a formal event of sorts; but surprisingly, it ended up being tremendously enjoyable.
From the entirety of the place down to the adrenaline-pumping rides, Aqua Planet is indeed a #WatermazingExperience– true to the promise of the resortโs General Manager in his opening speech. In just a few months, they transformed the place into a must-visit one-stop travel destination for those heading North. It has what every traveler asks for: a thrilling experience, a series of delectable eats, and even a shopping center.
Coming from someone with an acute fear of water, thatโs already a big statement. In any case, if you still arenโt convinced, here are 5 reasons why you should visit Aqua Planet this summer.
5 Reasons Why You Should Visit Aqua Planet
5. Affordable Rates
For only Php950, adults can access Aqua Planet from 9AM to 5PM – talk about value for money. Compared to other resorts with day tour passes, you can only do so much; however, at Aqua Planet, you can ride all of the attractions to your satisfaction, as well as make use of some amenities for a reasonable price (lockers and cabanas).
Note that the price may vary depending on the date. On weekends, it costs Php1180 for adults and Php980 for kids (4ft. and below). The weekday rates are Php950php for adults and Php750 for kids (4ft and below).
4. Bigger and Better Water Park
Part of Aqua Planetโs renovation is considering the place to be an all-around resort. Thereโs no need to buy or bring in food from outside because there are several kiosks serving food inside, perfect for the ambiance. Also, if youโre thinking about buying towels, rash guards, or souvenirs; you can just drop by the Aqua Market or Bubble Shop.
3. 38 Unlimited Water Attractions
Yes, you read that right. They have 38 attractions you can enjoy with your day pass. Aqua Planet made sure thereโs a variety of rides for all ages. Don’t miss the Octopus Racers if youโre looking for a fun slide.
Feeling more adventurous? Try the Superbowl or the Hurricane. As the name suggests; expect twists, bends, and a whole lot of flying for a grand splash afterward.
2. Safe and Secure
What I like the most about Aqua Planet is their excellent security measure. They make use of RFID wristbands to make sure the place is exclusive to guests and there are several lifeguards around in case anything happens, as well.
As a bonus, the RFID Wristbands can be used for food and other items at their kiosks. This cashless basis at Aqua Planet was created to prevent soaking paper bills!
1. Memorable Moments
Ultimately, Aqua Planet is truly a great place to go to with your friends and family. Whether itโs a happy scream or a frightened one, the trip is bound to be one for the books and one that you can always look back on with a smile. I mean, Iโm not one youโll normally see in the water, but Iโm glad I went anyway.
