K-Pop idol Jo Kwon from the boy group 2AM recently came out as genderless and opened up about his gender identity. Jo Kwon is currently performing in the musical “Jamie”, where he plays a character as a drag king.
According to Koreaboo.com, in an interview with Newsis last month, the singer said, “Being genderless is strength and my weapon. Before I was afraid of having an androgynous image.”

“When people said I looked like a woman, I used to say I don’t. Now I don’t do that. I’m honored if they say I look like actress Choi Ji Woo or Taeyeon now,” Jo Kwon shared.
With this, Jo Kwon revealed that Big Hit CEO Bang Si-hyuk even bought him his first pair of heels. He also said that his mother silently supported him, and came to see his first performance of Jamie.
