I am a huge fan of ramen. Sadly, ramen can get quite expensive in Manila, with bowls ranging from Php400 upwards. So, naturally, I had to make it a point to find cheaper ramen in order to get my ramen fix more often than usual. :p Here are 15 places that have come highly recommended by our friends and readers, listed from the highest prices to the lowest. 🙂

15. Takashi Japanese Cuisine
Location: Pioneer Center Supermart, 8006 Pioneer Street, Kapitolyo, Pasig City

While some of the ramen at Takashi go past the Php300 limit of this article, most of their ramen still make it in at Php295, including their Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, Hokkaido Miso Ramen, Spicy Karaage Ramen, Tan-Tan Ramen and Spicy Seafood Ramen. They’ve got a Bento Box Takeout Menu, too! 😀
14. Shinjuku Home of Authentic Ramen
Location: 2277 Chino Roces Ave. Pio del Pilar, Makati
Ramen Price Range: Php290 to Php825

While a lot of the ramen at Shinjuku is above Php300, they’ve got Shio Ramen and Chicken Ramen for Php290 and Pork Ribs Ramen for Php299 – which you really need to try.
13. Sensei Sushi

While Sensei Sushi is more popular for their, well, sushi, they’ve also got Pork Ramen for Php290. The place offers a modern take on Japanese staples courtesy of Chef Bruce Ricketts, and their sushi is a definite must-try. They’ve also got a specials board that’s dictated by what’s fresh and in-season from local markets.
12. Ajisen Ramen
Location: G/F OCAI Building, Garnet Rd, Ortigas Center, 1605 Pasig
Ramen Price Range: Php275 to Php335

Ajisen Ramen’s Negi Ramen is priced at Php275, while their special Ajisen Ramen is priced at Php285. The latter is best known for having special ingredients that make it special: Ajisen oil, Okinawa salt, and Ajisen powder.
11. Mensakaba Geishu

Mensakaba Geishu is an authentic ramen house conveniently located in the commercial avenue of BF Homes. Not only does the place look and feel like a legit ramen place, but their ramen is also extremely delicious with the prices ranging from Php250 to Php270. Try their gyoza and yakitori, too!
10. Ramen Kagetsu Arashi

From Japan to the Philippines, Ramen Kagetsu Arashi is taking Manila by storm! While their ramen is Php330, you can get junior versions for Php225 – perfect for those who can’t finish a bowl of ramen on their own. Make sure to try their signature Arashi Genkotsu!
9. Ohsama Ramen
Location: 800 A. Arnaiz Avenue, San Lorenzo, Makati City
Ramen Price Range: Php200 to Php320
If you want to try some unique ramen flavours, try out Ohsama Ramen. They’ve got flavours like Karaage Ramen and Asari Butter Syouyu Ramen that you are sure to enjoy. They also have gyoza and chahan at Php100.
8. Kokoro Ramenya
Location: 2/F Avenue of the Arts Building, Sta Monica cor. Roxas Boulevard, Ermita, Manila
