15 Classic OPM Love Songs That Will Make Us Say “Ang Pag-Ibig Nga Naman”

It’s Friday once again, and it’s time for some #FlashbackFriday tunes. Actually, kasalanan ito ni Jollibee!! Hahaha.

Seriously, who wouldn’t feel giddy on their Valentine’s videos? Their tearjerker videos took over social media today, and now I have the LSS or the Last Song Syndrome.

Jollibee crush series

Awww. Meet my new crush. 🙂

If you’ve already seen the video, the background song used on the “Crush” series was Ric Segreto’s “Don’t Know What To Say.” Clearly, it made me swoon and reminisce on my past relationships. Like how stupid I was to fall in love with a friend, to stay even though, he’s taken me for granted, and so much more.

They say “love makes the world go round.” I say it’ll make you crazy, too. So, join me as we swoon over these songs and reminisce about our past, present, or future relationships.

Ready ka na ba? Here we go:

Here we go:

15. ‘Til I Found You – Freestyle

Have you been in the situation when you thought you were better off alone? Or that moment when you’re too scared to fall in love again? Then all of a sudden, s/he came along? Well, this song is all about that – finding the right person at the right time.

Listen if you can relate.

14. Panalangin (Prayer) – APO Hiking Society

We all pray for our relationships to work, and we will do everything in our mighty power just to preserve our relationship with our loved ones. So, this song reminds me of those happy moments.

13. Tuloy Pa Rin  – Neocolors

Mending a broken heart is a struggle. So, this song actually inspires you to just accept the fate and move on.

12. Di Na Ako Aasa Pa – Introvoys

This song is for those times we couldn’t take it anymore: that the only choice is to forget about everything.

11. Give Me A Chance – Ric Segreto

This song, as the title implies, is about telling someone to give you a chance to show how much you love the person. I mean if your crush can only give you a chance to show how much you like him/her.

On a personal note, I love Ric Segreto’s songs. His songs are harmonious and the lyrics are relatable.

10. Closer You and I – Gino Padilla

The song became popular because of the Close-Up commercial. Clearly, the song explains how two different people can become one with true love.

9. Loving  You – Ric Segreto

Another timeless record by Ric Segreto (RIP). This song represents that love is indeed selfless. That even though, we look crazy, loving the person is “such an easy thing to do.”

8. Set You Free – Side A

As the old adage goes: “If you truly love someone, set them free.” Hence, the song. This song reminds us to be selfless and to love unconditionally.

7.  So It’s You – Raymond Lauchengco

Awww, this song is when you finally meet “the one.” So, it’s YOU. 🙂

6. I Remember The Boy – Joey Albert

You remember the boy, but cannot remember the feelings? Who else can relate? *raises both hands*

5. Til I Met You – Joey Albert

So many renditions of this song, but Joey Albert’s the best.

4. Forevermore – Side A

Another hit by Side A, Forevermore, gives us hope that love must be endured forever.

3. So Many Questions – Side A

Love is a splendid feeling, that no one can ever explain nor understand. Thus, we have “so many questions but the answers are so few.”

2. Friend of Mine – Odette Quesada

Just like the Jollibee’s commercial, the “Vow.” You will always be the best friend.

1. Don’t What To Say – Ric Segreto

This is the ultimate reason why I compiled these songs. This hit song by Ric Segreto was used as the background music of the series “Crush.” Just like how it was described in the Jollibee video, this song resonates with those people who didn’t give up on love.

*deep sigh*

Love, love, love.

So, this Valentine’s Day, celebrate love, whether you are brokenhearted or not!

What’s your favorite love song? Can you relate to these songs? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
