10 Photos that Show the Aftermath of Typhoon Glenda in Metro Manila
ย
When in Manila, 24 years ago, it was July 16, when Luzon was shook by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake – the earthquake that toppled down the Hyatt Terraces Hotel in Baguio City into rubble. Now, July 16, 2014 will etch in our memories how Typhoon Glenda battered and bruised our city with strong howling winds that caused roofs to fly and uprooted even some of the ginormous trees and electric posts we thought had stronghold on the ground where they are planted/installed.ย
The strong winds (and rains) have subsided, and with that, we saw what the typhoon has caused. We collected photos to show you the aftermath of typhoon Glenda. Even though these don’t show gruesome images as that of Ondoy, the damages are still huge and could have caused casualties had we not prepared for it. Actually, one of these had a casualty.ย
We hope your home / car / office building / business establishment / historic tree was spared.ย
