A new year is upon us, which brings us closer to the release dates of games we’ve been waiting for. The year 2022 is promising for PC games, with lots of titles set to debut. Here are just some that we’re looking forward to playing this year:
Dying Light 2: Stay Human (February 4, 2022)
The City is the last human settlement after civilization regressed to the Dark Ages thanks to a virus. You play a wanderer with power and abilities, and you can explore the City’s many paths, levels, and locations. All your actions have an effect on the City so it’s interesting how the game will play out. There’s a day and night cycle, and the Infected roam the City after dark.
Total War: Warhammer 3 (February 17, 2022)
Total War: Warhammer 3 is the last of the Total War trilogy. Similar to its previous iterations, you can recruit heroes, raise armies, and carve out a legendary empire. This time the game is set in the Realm of Chaos, and what’s truly exciting is that it’s said to be twice the size of the Vortex campaign map from Total War: Warhammer II.
Elden Ring (February 25, 2022)
If you need just one reason to get Elden Ring, it’s this: George R. R. Martin, who wrote the A Song of Ice and Fire series (which we know now as Game of Thrones), built the world and mythology of the game.
Elden Ring is set in the Lands Between, where the titular ring was destroyed and scattered, now known as the Great Runes. You must find all these runes to restore the ring, and ultimately become Elden Lord. Elden Ring won Most Anticipated and Most Wanted Game at The Game Awards and the Golden Joystick Awards last year.
Starfield (November 11, 2022)
We’re excited for Starfield because it’s Bethesda Game Studios’ first universe in 25 years, following the success of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. Starfield is set in outer space, in an area called The Settled Systems. You play a member of the Constellation, a group of of space explorers, as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl (December 8, 2022)
This is the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game since “Call of Pripyat” in 2009 so everyone is excited. This is set in the post-apocalyptic Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, where “stalkers” are needed. You’ll have to deal with dangerous mutants and anomalies while searching for supplies like food, drinks, and medicine.
Redfall (Summer 2022)
This game is set in Redfall, Massachusetts, where vampires have blocked out the sun and cut the island town off from the world. You must choose your character (some have powers), find allies, and become a team of vampire slayers. And oh, the vampires are a result of a scientific experiment gone wrong and continue to evolve, and there are cultist locals to also deal with.
Ghostwire: Tokyo (2022)
Do you miss traveling? You’ll definitely enjoy this game, which is set in the Japanese city. Except here, Tokyo’s population has vanished after a dangerous occultist unleashed deadly supernatural forces. It’s your task to uncover what happened. Expect to see iconic landmarks like temples, alleyways, Shibuya Crossing, and Tokyo Tower, teeming with yokai (supernatural entities).
Gotham Knights (2022)
Imagine Gotham City without Batman. That’s because the caped crusader is dead, which means the criminal underworld has flourished. You get to play a member of the Batman Family: Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, or Robin to protect Gotham, discipline cops, and deal with villains. You will also have to deal with the Court of Owls, a secret criminal organization that is as old as Gotham itself.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (2022)
This game is created by the same team that created the Batman: Arkham series so we’re excited about the launch.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set in the Arkham universe, where Brainiac has invaded Earth and brainwashed citizens, including the members of the Justice League such as Superman, The Flash, and Green Lantern. You can choose between Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, or King Shark and save the world.
The Callisto Protocol (2022)
The Callisto Protocol is a survival horror game set in Callisto, Jupiter’s moon, in 2320. You play a prisoner trying to escape the maximum-security Black Iron Prison and uncover its terrifying secrets. It’s said to be a blend of horror, action, and immersive storytelling, which really piqued our interest.
We recommend playing these games on the new MSI Raider GE76, a gaming laptop powered by the next-generation Intel 12th Gen Processor. This is Intel’s highest performance core to date and is perfect for graphics-heavy games. This is paired with MSI’s exclusive Phase Change Liquid Metal Pad, which prevents the heat conductor from crystallizing. This protects the thermal and laptop and makes them more reliable.
Graphics are more realistic with the GeForce RTX™ 30 Series GPUs, supported by Ampere, NVIDIA’s 2nd gen RTX architecture. The display is optimized for gamers, and you can choose between FHD, QHD, or 4K screens.
You can also play longer and faster on the MSI Raider GE76. The device has the world’s highest-capacity battery in a laptop. It also supports Thunderbolt 4 (with USB4), PCIe Gen4 SSD, and the industry-leading full-size SD Express card reader for faster speeds.
Another special feature is MSI Center, which simplifies the gaming process. Smart Auto adjusts the best settings for the game, while Ambient Silent AI auto-adjusts fan speed without sacrificing performance.
Lastly, we like how you can customize your own style of colors. The panoramic aurora lighting on the front edge can be controlled over lighting in MSI Mystic Light, which has 16.8 million colors. You can also customize the color of each key.
The MSI Raider GE76 is an awesome gaming laptop that can smoothly run all these games!
