Filipinos love eating. Snacks are very important! If, abroad, they have peanut butter, cookie butter, and Nutella, well, the Philippines has yema spread! Yes, YEMA. I love yema cakes and, having a sweet tooth, I thought these yema spreads from Tooth Fairy are an awesome find.
Originally sold through Instagram, Tooth Fairy’s Yema Spread has been gaining a lot of following as you can use them not just for pastries but also as dessert or even for cooking.
Yema Spread made me squeal a little out of excitement, to be honest. And then I found out there are other variants too! Aside from the original, there is Cookie Crumble and Nutty which are spins to other ‘palaman’ favorites.
The original flavor Yema Spread is perfect for bread and pastries. I tried regular white sliced bread but my brother loved butter cupcakes topped with the Yema Spread.
Aside from bread and pastries, the Cookie Crumble Yema Spread is perfect with fruits. If bananas are perfect with chocolate, then this combo is surely a hit.
The Nutty Yema Spread is a little peanut butter-y and is perfect with some salted crackers. It might be a good experiment to add the Yema Spread during your wine and cheese night as a sweet addition to your savory treats.
Tooth Fairy Yema Spread is now available at SM Hypermarket MOA, Fairview, Bicutan, North Edsa, Silver City and SM Supermarket in Makati and SM Aura. The brand also participates in different bazaars where you can buy the complete variety.
