Yordenis Ugas Defends WBA World Welterweight Title Against Manny Pacquiao

Philippine Senator Manny Pacquiao returned to the boxing ring to reclaim the WBA Welterweight Title from current titleholder Yordenis Ugas in Las Vegas today. However, Ugas successfully defended his title as he won by unanimous decision.

Originally, Pacquiao was slated to fight the unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. who had to bow out due to a torn retina in his left eye earlier this month.

This has once again sparked rumors of his retirement. The 42-year-old Filipino boxer and senator still holds the record for being the only boxer in history to have won twelve major world titles in eight different weight divisions.
