YAY! Batang Gilas Earns Spot in FIBA-Asia U18 Championship!

With four straight wins under their belt, the National Youth Basketball team is now assured one of the three spots for southeast Asia in the 2016 FIBA-Asia Under-18 Championship in Iran!

The Batang Gilas won their fourth straight win in the SEABA Under-18 Championship in Medan, Indonesia yesterday, edging Singapore in an 87-52 win.

According to reports, John Bryle Bahio led the Gilas scoreboard with 16 points, while Pedro Alfaro added 12 baskets and Joshua Sinclair chipped in 11.

The young Gilas team remains unbeaten in the SEABA Championship and is scheduled to face Indonesia next before the championship game on Thursday.
