Liquor.PH and The Whisky Society of the Philippines is inviting everyone to experience whisky at the World Whisky Day Experience. It’s set to happen this Saturday, May 21, from 11 am to 11 pm at the Astbury, 2 Orion St., Poblacion, Makati.
The main event will take place on the 1st and 4th floors, while a whisky masterclass will be held at the 3rd floor lounge.

Are there going to be special bottles for sale? Â
Everything tasted will be for Sale. However, we will have some of the harder to find, if not rare, bottles globally for sale on sight, such as: Michter’s (Toasted Barrel Sour Mash, Bourbon 10yr, Toasted Barrel Rye, Barrel Strength Rye, Bombergers, Schenks), Arran (Drumadoon Point 23yr), Kilchoman (Loch Gorm), Fable Chapters 1-5, AnCnoc (Peatheart Batch 1 & Batch 2, 18 & 24yr), and Compass Box (Rogues Banquet, Juveniles, Flaming Heart).
Until when is the early bird rate available? Â
Early Bird is good until two days before the event, May 19th. Â
After people finish the 10 tokens, will they need to pay Php 1100 for another 10? Will you be selling per token after? Â
People can re-buy 5 tokens for 500 each.
Details about the masterclasses? (Who, what time, where in the building, time, do people register in advance, are there additional fees?) Â

Will there be a raffle?
Yes! There will be raffle prizes such as bottles, shirts, glasses, and more.
Why did you decide to hold this event? Â
With the pandemic taking a toll on all of us on all fronts, I wanted to throw an event where people can enjoy good whisky, rums, gin, and vodka under one roof because it’s been too long. Plus, it will almost be a reunion for many of us whisky geeks who haven’t seen each other in more than two years.Â
What can people expect? Â
People can expect good times to be had. I know that’s a saying that has been overused but I truly believe that for the World Whisky Day Experience. Â
We will have live music in the afternoon on the roofdeck with singer-songwriter Mix Fenix. Everyone will also get a ticket to get a welcome drink made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka. The top floor of the venue is an al-fresco roof deck where there will be a bartender that can make cocktails on demand. We will also have a person hand-rolling cigars via our partners at Tabacalera, and of course a bar where you can get amazing cocktails . Â
I also wanted to have this event be as affordable as possible in order for people to try different types of drinks. This is why the entrance is only 1,000 pesos and re-buying will be at 500 pesos chunks. Plus, with the all-day timing of the event, this will allow people to drink at their own pace. There will also be seats available just in case your feet get a little tired.
