With the ongoing trend of popular loveteams parting ways to pursue projects with other actors and actresses, Enrique Gil shares that he and real-life partner Liza Soberano have no plans of doing so anytime soon.
In a report by Philippine Star, Enrique tells the media during a contract signing event, “If other love teams going that separate ways, parang we really don’t need to follow. I mean the trend, it really depends on us. I’m open naman to work in solo projects pero to work with other people and break the love team right now, I don’t think it’s good. I don’t really feel it right now.”
He also mentions that he and Liza haven’t worked on any film project for years prior to Alone/Together and thinks it’s too soon for them to consider roles linked with other people. It’s been two years since we’ve released a movie before Alone/Together. You are asking kung pwede maghiwalay muna kami. Parang hindi muna kasi fans are really craving for a movie since we did Alone/Together,” he says.
Enrique and Liza have starred in a couple of teleseryes, namely Dolce Amore (2016) and Bagani (2018), as well as in romcoms My Ex and Whys (2017), Everyday I Love You (2015), and Just The Way You Are (2015). The two just recently confirmed their relationship of two years during Gandang Gabi Vice back in February.
