Another bestseller is the Croque Madame (P420)! A brioche bread base with ham, gruyere, and topped with a perfect sunny-side egg. It’s no surprise that this is a bestseller! The dish in itself could be ordered as a full breakfast, as it is a perfect fuel for the rest of the day!
That dish up there is Barbara Manzke’s German Pancakes (340). It is Wildflour’s newest breakfast treat for their loyal and would-be-loyal customers. It is light and fluffy, very creamy, and to my surprise not too sweet dish. All of us at the table at first didn’t know the name of the dish so we were fighting what it is. We all thought it’s a crepe, a staple breakfast for the French. The dish itself is also made with egg batter, rolled and filled with vanilla yogurt and then poured with mango puree.
And when we are all full of what we had and thought our breakfast was over. We were served with desserts! I couldn’t say no if we’re talking about anything ‘desserts’.
Bread Pudding (P220) is a dessert paired with a creamy vanilla milk. According to one of the servers it takes at least 20 minutes to bake this delicious dessert. So if you happen to have your dessert at Wildflour, you know what to have for dessert already!
Peanut Butter Banana Cream Pie (P170) is another baked goodies that would make me come back at Wildflour! It looks like a cheescake that is made with peanut butter, cream, and bananas. At this point, I took out my phone and included the cafe-slash-bakery in my list of favorite places in the metro. I liked that their dishes are not too sweet, which sometimes ruins it.
But if you would ask a personal recommendation, this is what I would say to you! Panna Cotta in Passion Fruit Sauce (P170) the complementing mix of sweet panna cotta and sour passion fruit is perfect to cap off a full breakfast meal! The flavors gives a refreshing taste to my palate!
And that dear readers is the end of our magical delicious breakfast journey at a haven called Wildflour Cafe + Bakery! We all had a great time and a full tummy going out of the establishment. What I’ve heard is that they’re putting up a second branch at Rockwell area.
4th person on left is Ms. Ann de Ocampo. She is one of the co-owners of Wildflour.
I can’t wait to take my friends for another breakfast round at Wildflour! If you are planning the same make sure to call them to reserve a table for you, as the place has a tendency to be packed.
