Who’s Who in Bazooka Rocks III: The Ultimate Band Guide

Day 2: August 31

Gates Open: 10:00 AM

Paranoid City

Stage Time: 12:00 PM

Get your dancing shoes ready because Bazooka Rocks III’s second day of rocking will be opened by an indie/synth/dance rock/ electronic band called Paranoid City or, as I like to call them, “LSS City” because their songs, especially ‘Here We Are Here We Go”, are total ear-worms that will hang around in your brain for days. Even if you’re not a big fan of electronica, I’m sure as hell this band will make you dance like there’s no tomorrow anyway.

Nyctinasty

Stage time: 12:45 PM

Next up on stage is the all-female band Nyctinasty with songs that scream Girl power! Their fist-raising sounds highly influenced by Coheed and Cambria and matched with powerful, poetic lyrics will make you sing your heart out. Their album ‘Camping Indoors’ is filled with so much badass-ery that it would be a shame to not get the chance to experience their music live. Here’s a preview of what these girls can do:

Gracenote

Stage time: 2:15PM

Get ready to get hypnotized by another OPM gem by the name of Gracenote. Composed of young musicians dedicated to make their voices and creativity heard, their songs are mostly feel-good tunes with very relatable lyrics about love, friendship and all the things that we all go through in life. I cannot wait to hear their songs ‘Amnesia’ and ‘Pwede Ako’ live and I hope they sing some of their amazing covers, too.

Chicosci

Stage time: 3:00 PM

Chicosci is one of those bands that break their way into you in ways you never expected. I didn’t like them at first because I never quite got what they are and who they are playing for but after a while, I realised that that’s what makes this band different from the rest. They challenge the waves of conformity and repetitiveness by creating something new every record and now, I cannot wait to see them play live.  Their songs from “This is not a Chicosci Record” like ‘Shquickx (Drive On)’ would be a blast to hear live but I do hope they play one or two of their oldies as well.

Coldrain

Stage time: 4:00 PM

Fresh from Japan’s rock scene, Coldrain is definitely going to shower Bazooka Rocks III’s audiences with post-hardcore awesomeness and leave them with sore throats because you won’t be able to stop yourself from screaming along with this band. Just listening to one of their songs on Youtube makes me want to scream and shout like no one is listening. Their songs ‘The War is on’ and “Revelation” are worth getting a scratchy throat for – trust me.

EchoSmith

Stage time: 5:15 PM

From their humble Youtube beginnings to conquering the music world with their indie/pop tunes, the cool kids of Echosmith is one of the bands I’m sure Bazooka Rocks III goers are excited to hear live. Don’t let their age fool you! These kids are really skilled in their craft, which is pretty evident with their growing fan base and songs like ‘Cool Kids’ and “Talking Dreams”.

 The Summer Set

Stage time: 6:45 PM

Sure, it’s been raining, but the songs of The Summer Set are certain to make you feel like it’s the first day of summer all over again. Armed with youth anthems and catchy pop rock tunes booming with energy, this band is sure to give a ‘Legendary’ performance, especially with their songs “Lightning in a Bottle” and “Jukebox (Life Goes On)”.

 We Are the In Crowd

Stage time: 8:00 PM

Critics thought WATIC released their best songs too soon; but to everyone’s surprise, this New York based band was just beginning to blow our minds and ‘break our jaws’ with their brand new level of pop punk. With their new album ‘Weird Kids’, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a WATIC fan or not, I’m sure as hell you’re going to go crazy for their performance. Here’s a little taste of what these weird kids are capable of:

You Me at Six

Stage time: 9:30 PM

All good things come to an end, but it doesn’t mean that it should end without a bang! And with You Me at Six finishing off Bazooka Rocks III, it sure is going to be more than just a big old bang, but an actual explosion of pop-rock and unapologetic tunes that will perfectly sum up your entire Bazooka Rocks III experience. As the most awaited act of the festival, you can expect their performance to be kick-ass and unforgettable:
