The Philippines Department of Tourist (PDOT) in London posted on their official YouTube account a video that shows how they promote our country inย the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom.
Based from the video, it looks like they even use 3D technology and 360 images to provide a realistic feel of visiting the Philippines.
On their post on YouTube:
The London Waterloo Station had been taken over by the Philippine Department of Tourism, as part of the Visit Philippines Again 2016 campaign, launching a station domination series that started with London Waterloo Station from the 24th of April to the 23rd of May.
The station domination began with the Philippines featuring a special immersion zone at the station that gave the commuters a taste and feel of the countryโs beauty and its promise of a โmore funโ overall experience when they travel to the Philippines.
Commuters received instant prizes and had the chance to win a holiday to the Philippines in three fun ways. One, by taking โfoot selfiesโ using floor stickers mapped around the station concourse. Second, by taking part in the 3D selfie stand, and lastly, by experiencing the Philippine islands in the virtual reality pods with 360 images taken by Philippinesโ very own Rommel C. Bundalian.
Apart from the experiential zone, the campaign also featured a month-long Philippine branding presence at the station including London Waterlooโs large motion digital screen, which is Europeโs largest digital motion display, floor media, large banners and showcase offers from Secret Escapes, Hayes and Jarvis, Explore, Dive Worldwide, Netflights and Philippine Airlines.
The month long Station Domination was seen by some 8.4 million commuters of London Waterloo Station, reached over 1.2 million Facebook users with over 50,000 shares and reactions on various social media platforms.
โThe tourist arrivals to The Philippines for 2016 has already reached record numbers this year, growing by over 20% in February alone, and with such a vast variety of cultural and musical events, adventure and beach holidays and the Philippines being home to the most beautiful island in the world โ Palawan โ we are sure that there are many reasons to keep coming back to the Philippinesโ, โGerard O. Panga, Tourism Attachรฉ and Director for Northern and Southern Europe.

Beautiful ad here abroad for a beautiful place on earth, the Philippines. I just hope that when visitors get there, that they are not taken advantage by some of our opportunistic Filipinos. Pinoys need to do their good deeds to make sure tourists Vacation experiences are great and not a disappointment.
