Just last month, it was announced that Sandara Park will debut as a solo artist this year.
Her solo debut will take place 14 years after she entered the K-pop scene as part of 2NE1.
Park confirmed the news on social media, saying, โFinally, Singer Dara is back with solo special mini album for my fans.โ
She added, โThank you so much for waiting. Nolza~!!!โ
Park launched her self-titled digital EP on July 12, 2023. It has the songs “Festival,” “Play!,” “Dara Dara,” “T Map,” and “Happy Ending.”
She released her first music video from the album and it’s for “Festival.”

FROM THE PHILIPPINES TO KOREA
Park got her start in showbiz when she joinedย Star Circle Questย in 2004. She finished in second place but went on to star in a series of movies with the seasonโs winner, Hero Angeles. Park even launched a self-titled album, which had the song โIn or Out.โ
In 2007, she moved to Korea with her family. She was signed to YG Entertainment and debuted as part of 2NE1 in 2009. Together with her bandmates Bom, CL, and Minzy, they released songs like โI Am the Best,โ โUgly,โ โI Donโt Care,โ and more. In 2016, the girl group disbanded.
Park continued her acting career with movies likeย One Stepย andย Cheese in the Trap, and hosted shows likeย Video Star, Idol League, andย Get It Beauty.
The K-pop star was recently in Pampanga with Jinu from WINNER, JR and Aron from NUโEST, and DINDIN. They were here toย shootย Idol Truck Project, a show that promotes small and medium-sized businesses.
Parkโs solo album will be her return to music after joining Park Bom for โSpringโ in 2019.
