It’s New Music Friday, and we have been blessed with three new music videos from a few of our favorite artists to date: Taylor Swift, The 1975, and Lana Del Rey!
Taylor Swift – “Lover”
Taylor Swift’s uber-romantic piece about a wonderful kind of love was translated into a dreamy video showing the ups and downs of a real, healthy relationship. You can’t help but be filled with hope that one day you’ll find a love as beautiful as that.
As Taylor explainedย in her YouTube Live, “This whole video concept came from a lyric from a song onย 1989ย called ‘You Are In Love.’ This is a song I wrote about two of my best friends who are in love.
And so it goes, ‘you two are dancing in a snow globe round and round.
‘ That line inspired the music video concept for this entire video.”

The 1975 – “People”
A stark contrast to their previous songs, The 1975’s “People” is a hard punk anthem peppered with politically conscious elements as a long-haired Matty Healy screams to a megaphone: “People like people / They want alive people / The young surprise people / Stop f***ing with the kids.”
It’s definitely something that listeners of The 1975 aren’t used to, but it’s precisely the band’s versatility and tendency to surprise that charms their fans over and over again.

Lana Del Rey – “F*** It I Love You” and “The Greatest”
Yes, Lana Del Rey released TWO new songs packed in one single music video. It shows her seemingly having the best summer of her lifeโhanging out by the pool, tending at a bar, chilling on a boat, and hanging onto the back of a surfer boy.
These two songs are among a 14-track album that is set to be released worldwide on August 30.
