WATCH: Bisaya-Speaking Lola Makes an Appearance in Cartoon Network Show

Pinoys are getting more and more representation all over international media over the past few years, and we are here for it! We’ve seen Filipino celebrities grace prestigious red carpet events, seen Filipino characters in our favorite movies, and now we’ve got an adorable lola who was heard speaking in Bisaya!

This clip from the Cartoon Network show “Craig of the Creek” features a character’s grandmother who can only speak Bisaya. We see the titular character along with his friend, Eileen, greet her lola with the traditional “pagmamano”. Watch the clip here:

The clip instantly went viral all over the Internet, with Filipino fans celebrating the Bisaya representation in the show.

The supervising director of “Craig of the Creek” Tiffany Ford is a Filipino-American illustrator with roots in Cebu, so it’s really no surprise that we’d see more of her Cebuana roots in the show. And we’re hoping to see more soon!
