One of the most-awaited movies of the year is the live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, based on the 1991 Disney animated film of the same name. It has entered pop culture canon, and one of the highlights is the title song, which Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson sung. For the live action adaptation, singers Ariana Grande and John Legend are giving it a new lease on life, and the music video is out now!

According to producer Ron Fair, “Stepping into the shoes of an Oscar and Grammy Award-winning classic is not small potatoes. But with today’s two greatest plutonium singers – John Legend and Ariana Grande – we are bringing the song back with a new school-old school fresh treatment that shows the soulfulness and power of what a great melody and lyric can inspire.”
Beauty and the Beast tells the tale of an arrogant young prince who is turned into a beast, and must make a girl fall in love with him to return to his human form. It is the first animated feature to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
The adaptation will star Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Stanley Tucci as Cadenza.
It is directed by Bill Condon, while the script is written by The Perks of Being a Wallflower author Stephen Chbosky.
It will premiere on March 17, 2017.
