Japanese superstar Hatsune Miku has become one of nine representatives who are now appointed to spread awareness and help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus or COVID-19. Hatsune Miku is one of the most popular VOCALOIDs, a singing voice synthesizer that’s become wildly popular not just in Japan, but worldwide. These synthesizers became characters of their own, with Hatsune Miku being the first and, arguably, most popular next to the Kagamine twins, Luka, etc.
Along with eight other representatives who are real life doctors, CEOs, athletes, and the Pepper robot, she hopes to educate more about COVID-19 and help stop it from spreading further. She will serve as a representative until March 31.
