We first docked at the foot of an island where Thien Cung Cave is situated. Thien Cung Cave is considered as one of the most beautiful caves in HaLong Bay and a visit there is a must. As we entered the narrow opening and made our first few steps inside the cave, we immediately saw the beautiful setting of different stalactites and stalagmites that line up the walls and ceilings. As I seemed to be going faster than my group, I listened to another tour guide who shared with his group of tourists how the stalactites and stalagmites were all part of the a love story where a dragon prince falls in love with someone and they hold a party for a whole week inside the cave. If you allow yourself to get lost in the moment and let your imagination run away with you, you will see some of the animals in the story as you gaze up and look out for them in the setting of the stalactites and stalagmites.
