It’s been more than a week since It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda finally confirmed to the public his romantic relationship with Ion Perez after his Magpasikat performance in celebration of the noontime show’s 10th anniversary.
“Ang swerte ko kasi hindi na ako nag-iisa. Meron na akong katuwang sa buhay,” he had told viewers that day as he expressed his love and gratitude to Ion.

In a recent interview with PUSH, Vice, who just celebrated their first anniversary with Ion, revealed that he feels blessed to finally come out of hiding.
“It’s liberating, mas masarap kumilos, hindi nakakangawit, wala kang iniisip mas na-eenjoy namin ang buhay,” he shared.
“[Ion is] very happy. I’m very happy. Kasi dati ‘yun ang parang iniinda kong sakit eh. ‘Yung parang hindi naman ako kayang ipagmalaki ng mga lalaking nakakarelasyon ko, minamahal ko,” he added. “Tapos sabi ko ‘yung nararamdaman kong ganun, bakit ko ipaparamdam kay Ion, na hindi ko siya ma-i-out, at hindi ko masabi nang derektahan at masabi [ang meron kami], kasi siya ang nauna eh, siya ‘yung nag-po-post sa Instagram noon pa, eh ako bihira.”
Vice also said that going public with the true status of their relationship is what Ion deserves. “Deserve ni Ion ‘to, kasi mabuti naman siyang tao, so bakit ko naman siya ikahihiya?”

He also expressed his appreciation for all the support that his friends and fans have given him throughout the year.
“I am happy and overwhelmed, dahil talagang ‘yung reaction nila [positive],” he said. “‘Yun ngang post ko sa Instagram, almost 800,000 likes na. Sabi ko nga ‘ang ganda ng suporta ng mga tao, parang mahal na mahal nila kami ni Ion.”
