UPLB Perspective [P], the official student publication of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), calls on both private and campus-based publications to join their publicity team in covering PUNLAAN 2026: Pagpapayabong ng Mapanuring Pamamahayag at Kritikal na Kamalayan sa Gitna ng Krisis-Panlipunan, a school press conference that grounds critical journalism in interrogating and responding to socio-political crises, on March 21–22, 2026, at UP Los Baños, Laguna.
The goal of Punlaan 2026 is to develop participants’ technical journalism skills as well as their critical thinking abilities, ensuring that factual, ethical, and context-aware storytelling prevails in school newspapers. It also aims to use journalism as an avenue for promoting advocacy and raising social consciousness among young journalists.
All senior high school and tertiary-level students from both public and private institutions are encouraged to partake in the press conference. The event will also include various skill-building activities such as workshops, educational discussions with notable individuals in the journalism field, and cultural performances.
