Last July 19 to 20, the University of the Philippines Diliman Ultimate Organization (UP DUO) hosted the much-awaited 12th National Ultimate Collegiate Championship (NUCC 2025). High school students, college undergraduates, and alumni from universities nationwide gathered at the Clark Development Corporation Parade Grounds in Pampanga to showcase their skill, teamwork, and passion for the sport.

The finals for the High School Open and High School Women’s divisions ended in exciting victories for Philippine Science High School – Main Campus. In the HS Open division, Alianti edged out Eagles Ultimate from Ateneo in a tense universal point finish, ending 12–11. Meanwhile, Alianti Women triumphed 11–8 over SLU Women’s from Saint Louis University.
The Alumni Division Finals featured a face-off between Palawan State University (PSU) and a combined UP Diliman–UST team. The latter dominated with a decisive 15–5 victory to secure the championship.
In the Collegiate Division, UP Baguio x SLU earned the Most Spirited Team Award—a significant milestone marking UP Baguio’s first-ever NUCC appearance. The much-anticipated collegiate finals then brought together reigning champions PSU and the combined UP Diliman–UP Manila team. After a close battle that ended in a universal point, PSU sealed their back-to-back championship title with a 15–14 victory.
NUCC 2025 showcased not only elite athleticism but also the unbreakable spirit of the Ultimate community. As the discs settle and the champions celebrate, anticipation already builds for NUCC 2026—a new year, a new chase for glory.
