After a surprising defeat last November, Ronda Rousey is hungry to get back at Holly Holm. And she might have her chance on July 9.
According to reports, UFC president Dana White has confirmed that the Rousey-Holm rematch has been set on July 9 at UFC 200.
Holm’s promoter and manager Lenny Fresquez, however, doesn’t think Rousey would be ready to face Holm on July and was hoping to square off with UFC’s current no.2 Miesha Tate first.
Rousey received quite a beating from Holm that she was suspended for six months to recover from her injuries. But despite the heavy injuries, Rousey believes that she’ll be ready for Holm.
Nothing has been set in stone just yet, but White believes that Rousey will be able to return to the ring in fighting form in time for the rematch.
Do you think the rematch will push through on July 9?
