Talk about brash and fearless!
Transport group 1-Utak apparently wants the LTFRB to cancel the accreditation given to Uber and GrabCar!
This is supposedly because Transport Network Companies (TNCs) such as Uber and GrabCar don’t have franchises, and the welfare of passengers are “not protected” because of this!
The LTFRB just posted a photo on Twitter conducting the hearing of 1-Utak’s petition against the two TNCs.
This is also the same group, mind you, that is trying to push for a rush hour rate in jeepneys! 1-Utak is apparently looking at a surge pricing of P5.50 from 11AM to 2PM, and P8.00 from 5AM to 8AM, and 4PM to 6PM.
What do you think of this? Do you agree with 1-Utak’s proposal?
engine models ng jeep 4BC2, 4BA1, C240 which are 3 decades old pero demanding haha
Utak talangka
Greed + Stupid = Philippine government mofos
Price surge happens when too few drivers are being chased by too many riders – supply and demand. Besides, as far as Uber is concerned, the people who take the ride on a surge are the ones who agreed to pay. I guess the same goes for Grabcar since the price is fixed and is visible to the rider before he/she confirms the booking. So how exactly are they proposing this price surge on jeepneys to happen? It better be good, else the only thing right about them is the name they chose for their group: 1 Utak.
