White sheets? I love this place already.

1. Where we stayed: The Tallest Building in Western Visayas

In keeping with Iloilo’s rapid urbanization is the tallest structure in the Western Visayas skyline, Injap Tower Hotel. This 21-storey structure was our home away from during our short stay in the city of love, and has made our experience all the more comfortable. Injap Tower Hotel’s identical rooms offers all the conveniences of home (flat-screen cable TV, fridge, hot and cold showers, WIFI) in a minimal yet cozy setup, and lives up to its aim of having you enjoy your time and space just the way you want it. Add to that their warm and ever-accommodating staff, and you’ve got for yourself a winning combination. Injap Tower Hotel also houses an ultra-chic pool area and spa at the 5th floor if you’re in dire need of some pampering; I can vouch for their spa’s Swedish-Shiatsu full body massage, super affordable and relaxing!

Hi.

Apart from the food, the sights, and the wonderful people, what really tied our trip together was the easy-going and happy vibes all throughout. Iloilo makes you feel like you really are on vacation, without losing touch of civilization altogether. Memories of our trip here will always be laced with beautiful sunsets on the road around Guimaras, deep awe for discovering such beauty in the history of heritage houses, and the overall carefree feeling of wandering about and discovering something colorful and interesting in every corner. Here are only some of the reasons we fell for the city of love, we hope you find your own when you decide to make the trip to Iloilo as well.
