SMC Infrastructure said the following roads will be free of toll for all healthcare professionals during this period of enhanced community quarantine: NAIAx, STAR Tollway, South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Skyway, and the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway.

Medical practitioners will have to secure a special RFID sticker from SMC tollways to avail of this. They need only present their PRC license card to install a new sticker or convert pre-existing stickers on their vehicles.

Stickers may be availed at temporary booths set up at either the Shell Magallanes gas station or the NAIAx toll gate, from 8 am to 7 pm. SMC plans to make the toll-free stickers available at other locations soon.

“This is the least we can do to show our appreciation and gratitude for our doctors and nurses’ who are working under extremely challenging circumstances to save lives,” SMC President Ramon Ang said in a statement.

“Considering the sacrifices they make on a daily basis, this is a small gesture. But nevertheless, we hope it helps make life a bit easier for them, and remind them that what they do for all us is deeply appreciated.”
